Welcome to Allerton Primary School

Mrs TurnerWelcome. This website should give you a good idea of what our school is like as well as making communication with everyone as easy as possible. You will be able to find recent newsletters and general information about the running of the school. More importantly, you can find out about the wide range of activities and learning that the children take part in during school. We have a busy and creative curriculum which we hope to share with you via this website.

We truly hope that this tells you all you need to know. If not, please just call and ask. We are proud of our school and stand by our motto ‘Your educational journey starts here’. But don’t simply take our word for it – come and see for yourself. We would be delighted to show you around

Many thanks

Amanda Turner, Headteacher

Leanne and Olivia came in from Far Ings to talk about Donna Nook National Nature Reserve in Lincolnshire. Find out more on our Visitors page.

Mrs Dellar came into school to talk about being part of a team. She said that sometimes we can do things on our own but other times it would be much better if we work as a team. Find out more on our Visitors page.

Allerton along with eight other schools in our area took part in a dodgeball competition organised by Nick Hanson. It was sponsored by Sainsbury’s School Games and took part at the Oasis Academy Wintringham.

We had a great afternoon and came 3rd in our group.

Ready Steady Cook!

We had a treat in store when Chartwells (our school meal provider) came in to demonstrate healthy cooking in action! The children watched a great demonstration with the green team and the red team competing. The teams had been carefully chosen because of the fabulous healthy meals they had designed.

Emma, British Red Cross

Emma, from the British Red Cross, came into our school to deliver everyday first aid to year 6. They watched video scenarios and participated in role play. You can find other people who have come to see our school on our Visitors page.

Robin Hood

Over in Nottingham Castle the Sheriff is planning his next evil deed: taxes on the poor are to be doubled to fund his wedding to the beautiful Maid Marian.

Only one man can rescue Marian and give the money back to the poor – Robin Hood!  With the help of his merry men and a very excitable ostrich called Bernard, they set out to defeat the evil sheriff; his unintelligent guard, Hogwart; and the fearsome Dark Knight.
Will good win over evil?

M&M Theatre Productions

Robin steals from the Sheriff to give money back to the people of Nottingham, will he win Maid Marian’s heart and defeat the Black Knight?

M&M Theatre Production came into school to perform their Robin Hood Show. The children had a fabulous time and enjoyed singing along to all the songs. You can find other people who have come to see our school on our Visitors page
