Once a week take a peek

A century ago, one of the greatest ever storytellers was born in Llandaff, Cardiff. To celebrate we dressed as our favourite characters from Roald Dahl books. Everyone looked fantastic!

Welcome to Allerton Primary School

Mrs TurnerWelcome. This website should give you a good idea of what our school is like as well as making communication with everyone as easy as possible. You will be able to find recent newsletters and general information about the running of the school. More importantly, you can find out about the wide range of activities and learning that the children take part in during school. We have a busy and creative curriculum which we hope to share with you via this website.

We truly hope that this tells you all you need to know. If not, please just call and ask. We are proud of our school and stand by our motto ‘Your educational journey starts here’. But don’t simply take our word for it – come and see for yourself. We would be delighted to show you around

Many thanks

Amanda Turner, Headteacher

Attendance Champions

We have three classes who achieved 97% attendance this week. Well done to the Eagles, Kestrels and Snowy Owls.

Margaret Dellar

Margaret Dellar came into school to hold an assembly about choices. She explained that all our actions have consequences and we need to make the right decisions in our lives. Once again she performed magic. Four children were asked to choose an envelope, one of the four envelopes contained £5. Each child picked an envelope. Margaret asked each child if they wanted to swap, the decision was theirs. Some of them did, some didn’t. Who ended up with the £5, Margaret did!

The Rev. Jon Glossop

The Rev. Jon Glossop came into Allerton to hold an assembly for our Harvest Festival. The children sang some of their favourite harvest time songs.

Listen to our song:

Food of the World

Today’s lunch was a Food of the World menu. On the menu were burgers, pizza, chilli and lots more. Under some of the chairs in the dining hall were stars which represented prizes. The star prize was a trip to the cinema for the family, for other stars there were lots of goodie bags and tubes of lovely sweets. We took selfies in hats of different countries. Take a look!
